Outside Katrina’s Kitchen 10/28/12
I posted every day last week and I still have more to tell you so we’re going behind the apron today. Sometimes I do things that don’t involve butter and sugar. Stick around if you want to hear about those things- come back later if you are just here for the sweets. 😉
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you may have seen a lot of cow pictures last week. I was happy to be invited along on an Ohio Dairy Adventure with the American Dairy Association Mideast. It was so much fun to hang out in real life with other bloggers. I have more to say about the trip but I just wanted to show you this adorable baby calf that I fell in love with. I got to feed her with my own hands!! Every time I came near her later she would lick her lips. Stinking cute! Farmer Dan (of Andreas Dairy) said if he would let her out of the pen she would’ve followed me all day. **heart melting** Yes I fell in love with her!
I am also in love with this time of year. My kids and husband have to wait for me often while I take pictures of bushes.
Verizon Wireless gave me another device to review as part of the Verizon Wireless Savvy Gourmet ambassador program. It’s called the LG Intuition and it’s a phablet. That’s right- a phone + a tablet! I actually am enjoying myself with this one. And since my phone is off-limits for the kids they haven’t taken it over like they did my full sized Xyboard tablet. My home screen has all of my favorite apps and no games with birds crashing into things or water needing to make its way to an alligator. Notice that Cymera app on the bottom? That is my absolute favorite Android app. I have been using this camera app almost exclusively for over a year now. It’s free so check it out!
Speaking of tablets- I am watching Parenthood on Hulu+ like it’s my job. I finished seasons 1-3 on Netflix in about 2 weeks and now I’m kind of sad that I’m all caught up. Do you watch? Max’s speech this week? I cried ugly tears through the whole thing. As a side note I loved his tag line: Max for president- a vote for Max is a vote for snacks!
Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Midwest Savvy Gourmets program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product. I was not compensated for a positive review.
