Crunchy Biscoff Pretzel Cups from @KatrinasKitchen

There are some things that you should avoid doing. Since I have this blog I view it as my social responsibility to let you in on a few of these things.

Do not weigh yourself after working out. You might curse the day you were born and eat a sleeve of Oreos.

Do not ask your children if they have washed their hands. It’s like you are asking them to lie to you. If you do ask your children if they washed their hands follow it up with a “Let me smell” statement.

Do not give a toddler a grape tomato if he insists on calling it a strawberry. You can tell him that it is not a strawberry until you are blue in the face but do not let him eat it while he still thinks it is a strawberry. If you do you will surely be given the look of horror of someone who expects to bite into dessert but is instead greeted with salad. Not cool.

Do not forget about DVDs checked out from your local library. If you do then you might end up paying $8.00 for your child to have watched Bill Nye the Science Guy. Once.

Do not call someone if you are not prepared to answer the phone 30 seconds after they have missed your phone call. It is maddening. And wrong. And maddening.

Do not buy Crunchy Biscoff spread and leave it out for your family to see before you have had a chance to use it in your recipe. Your husband may take spoonfuls of it every day until he finally asks you to please hide it until it is safe to inhale every last drop.

And finally

Do not bring Crunchy Biscoff Pretzel Cups to a wine tasting event unless you are prepared to answer eleventy billion questions about what Biscoff spread is and why it deserves its own national holiday.

“Biscoff spread is like the best peanut butter that was ever invented. Except without peanuts.”
“Biscoff spread is found in the grocery store by the peanut butter.”
“Biscoff spread is the Love Child of graham crackers and cinnamon.”

It went downhill. The poor people around me were about ready to bash me over the head if they had to hear me describe this recipe one more time. About halfway through the evening, I stopped answering questions and just told people to put it in their mouths. I’ve decided that the next time I make a dessert using Biscoff spread I will bring along a half-eaten jar of it to set out alongside the dish. Or maybe I should just bring my husband. He is fiercely protective of the stuff and will have eaten most of the dessert by himself while people are busy asking questions.

  • In the bowl of your mixer combine cream cheese and Crunchy Biscoff spread until combined.
  • Slowly beat in the pretzel crumbs and then the powdered sugar.
