Triple Berry Frozen Smoothies
Recipe for Triple Berry Frozen Smoothies and a tutorial on how to easily make layered smoothies so you can mix up your favorite flavors any time.
Sometimes pretty food just tastes better, am I right? I mean sometimes ugly food can taste pretty darn good too, don’t get me wrong. Remember my horribly ugly Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Magic Shell? That looked positively scary but I’m craving it even now. This summer has been the summer of ice cream and frozen yogurt for me. {I even resorted to slathering my fruit with frozen yogurt…do it.} I’ve gone my whole life without having a strong opinion about it and now I seem to want a treat every day.
Like, EVERY day. This is not going to go over well for me since I already have a love of Second Breakfast. Have you heard of it? It’s a thing. Second Breakfast is when as a mom of young children you get up at 7:00am (if you’re lucky to sleep in) and you eat while you feed your kids breakfast at this unsightly hour. Then you get a free pass to have Second Breakfast with your husband when he wakes up. It’s kind of a no-brainer so I hope that you’re all taking advantage of it.
Well these smoothies are perfect for Second Breakfast. Make up some pretty Triple Berry Frozen Smoothies and have them waiting for you in the freezer. After you eat that super healthy and well-balanced meal that you made from scratch for your children you may be craving the Cocoa Puffs and Brown Sugar Pop Tarts that are mysteriously calorie-free for husbands. Whip out a gorgeous frozen smoothie from your freezer and you won’t even mind that it’s not a cupcake.
And since Second Breakfast happens at 8:00 or 9:00 in the morning you will still be within the respectable time limit to have Pizza for Brunch at 11:00.
You’re Welcome.

This is such a gorgeous smoothie! My son avoids anything healthy, but I don’t think even he could pass these up!
Any ideas on how to make these adult smoothies – that us, with alcohol
Katrina, I’d love to link to this post from my new fun-and-healthy-eating-for kids blog (www.barbarajeanhicks.com/blog) on the 4th of July. May I have your permission?
Happy 4th of July!

Your smoothie has been featured on my new post with 20+ Healthy Layered Smoothie Recipes 🙂
Have a wonderful week :)!
Thank you for featuring them!
We just made these for our 4th of July celebration and they were delicious. Two tips for anyone trying to make them: 1) We needed to wait at least 15-20 minutes between layers in order for them to freeze enough so that the next layer wouldn’t just mix in. 2) It was hard to get a truly blue color for the blue layer. We ended up adding some blue food coloring and that really helped. Thanks so much for the recipe!
I’m so glad you loved making them as much as we did. Great tips!
These are so festive and gorgeous! What a great idea!
