Spiced Up Olive Oil #recipe (CopyCat Macaroni Grill) from @KatrinasKitchen

Dear Butter,
I know we’ve been very close for so long. I have fond memories of you collecting in pools over my waffles as a child. I even remember the first time as a teenager I took you out of the refrigerator to soften just in time to make the perfect chocolate chip cookies. And as a newlywed I stayed true to you even though You-Know-Who fit our grocery budget much better. I never swayed. But if you’re honest with yourself you have seen this coming. I’m not breaking up; I still want/need you in my life. But it is time to spice things up. Surely this doesn’t come as a surprise to you. I told you about that fateful night when the waitress brought Olive Oil to the table with our bread- I was completely open and honest with you and I think you were happy for me. I love you, my sweet, sweet Butter.

We will still see each other around. And I promise that I’ll always reach for you when I preheat my oven to 350 and bake up something sweet. Your nemesis (M) will never take over your spot in my kitchen- be assured of this. You may never have known of my cheating but I thought you deserved better. You can stay all cold and chilled in my refrigerator and Olive Oil will take his place on my counter top. Yes, it is true- I know you’ve seen that little jug on the counter top while I had you out of the refrigerator to soften. I’ve seen the looks you two have been giving each other when I’ve taken you out to come to room temperature. I hope we can be adult about this and make it work.

Sincerely,
Katrina, xoxo
