I was happy to be a part of a recent blogger dairy tour of Ohio. We were were wined and dined and we also got up with the sun to work on the farm. It was a fantastic experience; most of all I was touched by how much these farmers truly loved their cows. Even at a farm with 88 cows each one was still called by name. I can honestly say that I was impressed by the love and respect given to these animals.

“We take care of our cows, because they take care of us.”~ Dan Andreas, 5th generation dairy farmer.

In between our farm visits we stopped at Pearl Valley Cheese to see how cheese is made and learn more about milk’s journey from farm to table. Did you know that Ohio is the #1 producer of Swiss cheese in the world?! We sampled so much delicious cheese; my favorite was the soft and creamy Baby Swiss but I couldn’t help but pick up some Bacon Cheese for my husband to try at home!

I got to meet some fantastic bloggers along the way as well. If you want to read more about our tour you can drop by their sites and say hello:
