Cherry Limeade Popsicles
These two belong together. Any cherry limeade fans? I know you’re out there! Well I will admit that I’m a fan. It seems to be a complete waste if I go to Sonic and don’t end up ordering one. I would happily pass up ice cream for a cherry limeade.
As I bought the ingredients to make it at home it hit me that this is the perfect summer popsicle flavor! I wouldn’t even call this a recipe as much as a technique. You obviously know how to dump liquids into a container and put them in your freezer.
I grabbed some maraschino cherries, limes, limeade, and, gummy fruits. The gummies are completely optional but made for a fun little addition for the kiddos.
You plop a cherry into your popsicle mold first then give it a little squeeze of lime and a teaspoon of the cherry juice from the jar. You could do without the lime juice since you’ll be adding limeade but I wanted to be sure there was some pulp running throughout – we are making this up as we go. Do whatever you want; I am not the popsicle police. In goes the gummy lime then fill to the top with limeade. Freeze.
We had friends over and it was a big hit with all! The kids waited as patiently as 4-year-olds (and a 1 year-old) could while I snapped a few more pictures then it was finally time to dig in.
All that was left was crumbs…er, uh…drips
of cherry limeade-deliciousness.

I love these with the little gummies inside! My mom used to make popsicles for me when I was a kid, but they never looked this good! 🙂
Also I wanted to tell you that I've tried to comment on your brownies and now your yummy fish recipe – but Blogger is preventing me 🙁 Just wanted you to know that I am dropping by even though I can't comment.
There's a part of me that believes Sonic makes better cherry limeades in the summer. These popsicles are so beautiful and make me cooler just looking at them. I just ran across our popsicle molds in the cabinet and almost tossed them. So glad I'm seeing your post now so we can give this a try. Your kiddos are good sports :]
Exactly!
Thanks 🙂

What a great idea! I have made popsicles before, but it is frozen Kol-Aid 🙂 This is awesome!
Awe! What adorable children <3
Thanks! When I was pregnant I only wanted sour fruity things. This was a must!
Ooh! I like the idea of turning these into ice cubes! 🙂 And yes the kids LOVED the gummies LOL
I love these! So fun!
Love this flavor combination and they are so cool looking!
Ooo, I'm a cherry lime fan! Maraschino cherries are the only ones I can eat (I'm allergic to a lot of fresh fruits when they haven't been cooked, preserved, etc.), so it'd work for me. They look so pretty and juicy and yes, perfect for summer! The gummy fruits are an awesome touch. And how cool would it be to make these into ice cubes for a pitcher or punch bowl?? 🙂
