These two belong together. Any cherry limeade fans? I know you’re out there! Well I will admit that I’m a fan. It seems to be a complete waste if I go to Sonic and don’t end up ordering one. I would happily pass up ice cream for a cherry limeade.

As I bought the ingredients to make it at home it hit me that this is the perfect summer popsicle flavor! I wouldn’t even call this a recipe as much as a technique. You obviously know how to dump liquids into a container and put them in your freezer.

I grabbed some maraschino cherries, limes, limeade, and, gummy fruits. The gummies are completely optional but made for a fun little addition for the kiddos.

You plop a cherry into your popsicle mold first then give it a little squeeze of lime and a teaspoon of the cherry juice from the jar. You could do without the lime juice since you’ll be adding limeade but I wanted to be sure there was some pulp running throughout – we are making this up as we go. Do whatever you want; I am not the popsicle police. In goes the gummy lime then fill to the top with limeade. Freeze.

We had friends over and it was a big hit with all! The kids waited as patiently as 4-year-olds (and a 1 year-old) could while I snapped a few more pictures then it was finally time to dig in.

All that was left was crumbs…er, uh…drips

of cherry limeade-deliciousness.
