This warm, vanilla butter sauce flavored with pumpkin spice is the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving dessert table.


  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Cup heavy cream
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • seeds of one vanilla bean optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • Mix cream, sugar, butter, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla bean seeds in a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat.
  • Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 to 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract. Serve warm with Pumpkin Cranberry Bread Pudding.
