Sorry for the confusion! In the full recipe over at Baked by Rachel I say to use 2 apples- peeled and *cored* and that's what makes the apple rings. You can find apple corers in any kitchen store- ore even Target or Walmart. It is a sharp circular knife that cuts straight through the middle of the apple (coring it) and leaving you with a seedless apple in the shape of a ring.
