We use this frosting with your cut-out cookies every year and it never fails. The recipe makes it easy to make a thinner or thicker frosting with the heavy cream and takes food coloring very well. My family loves it!

I made this for my cookies for the first time this year. The icing that I added to bags for decorating was great. I kept some white aside and started adding more heavy cream and the icing looked grainy, almost curdled? Do you think I over beat it? I know heavy cream will break if you overheat it. Takes good though. I figure it will look like snowflakes lol.

THEE ABSOLUTE BEST NON SPREAD COOKIE RECIPE!
I have been making Christmas cookies for the past 50+ years.
There isn't a better recipe out there that will leave your baked cookie actually looking like your cutter shape.

Thank you so much for sharing this incredible recipe.

I also make your chocolate espresso non spread cookies.

Thanks again!

Happy baking

Hi, i made your cut outs last year (so good!) with my own frosting. This year I’m going to give this recipe a try. I have Crisco butter flavored. Will that work or would it make the color off?
