Truly the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted. While they are a little work they are well worth it. I made 33 out of the recipe. I used an ice cream scoop for uniform cookies because I only had a one tablespoon cookie scoop. I definitely will make them again.

I found my mistake! I used double the amount of Crisco! (made a half recipe with whole recipe Crisco because I read the stick label incorrectly) UGH gonna try again tomorrow

Weird. Mine spread out to be at least 6 inches from a 1.5 TBS scoop. AND I had chilled the dough for a couple of hours. Totally greasy, soft, and flat. And I”m not a Crisco snob, in fact my fav cookie from my grandmother is with Crisco. All my ingredients were new and fresh. My only sub was 70% chocolate not milk choc. And I have a thermometer in my oven to make sure it’s at the right temp. shrug I was sure they’d turn out like yours being chubby/cakey…because they say you want a ratio greater than 1:1 flour to fat and so it looked PERFECT. LOL

I found I had to bake them around 12 to 13 minutes. Delicious reminded me of a recipe I had from my Grandma Leonard which I had lost.

Excellent recipe. I substituted semi-sweet chips and they came out awesome. Perfect amount of sweetness with the even parts white and brown sugar. These are officially my favorite chocolate chip cookies.

hi, this is a great and easy recipe! Made these today with my grandkids, we did half chips and half mini M&Ms. I’ve made at least 15 to 20 dozen cookies in the last week and these were the best and by far, the easiest. Woohoo!!! Thanks for posting this!!!
