Milk and Cereal Breakfast Popsicles Recipe

I LOVE summertime! The relaxed schedule, lazy days in the back yard, taking walks downtown to grab an ice cream cone- I love it all! I get the urge to sell our house every winter, but summertime comes and I’m reminded of how much I love our property. I live within 10 minutes walking distance of the library, a park, and TWO local ice cream shops! And to make things even more amazing, our little town now has an adorable little coffee shop practically right outside my front door. (Iced coffee and cream is my love language.)

Milk and Cereal Breakfast Pops- make your own flavor combo and have a cool summer!

As much as I love my iced coffee in the summertime, my kids love popsicles. They are our summer go-to dessert around here. I have no less than 5 sets of popsicle molds in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Because we make them homemade, I have no problem letting my kids enjoy them all summer long. These Milk and Cereal Breakfast Popsicles are truly made to be enjoyed when you get out of bed. Go ahead and send the kids outside with a popsicle this morning while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee in peace!

I’m excited to be working with the American Dairy Association Mideast again this year to bring you delicious dairy-filled recipes that our family loves. June is National Dairy Month and a perfect time to celebrate the farmers who work so hard to provide milk for our nation. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the Andreas family farm here in Ohio. They are truly inspiring people who love what they do.

Made with Greek yogurt, milk, banana, and cereal these Milk and Cereal Breakfast Popsicles are the perfect way to start your summer day!

These pops are full of Greek yogurt, flavored milk, cereal, and bananas with no added sugar so you can feel good about serving them all summer long. Common questions answered by the ADA:

Q: What’s the difference between Greek yogurt and regular yogurt?

A: Greek yogurt has twice the amount of protein as most regular yogurts, due to the straining process. Six ounces of Greek yogurt typically contains 14–17 grams of protein. Regular yogurt has 7–8 grams of protein in 6 ounces.

Q: Is flavored milk healthy for my family?

Flavored milk provides the same powerful package of 9 essential nutrients as white milk, and kids will drink more when it’s flavored! Studies show that children who drink flavored milk meet more of their nutrient needs; do not consume more added sugar, fat or calories; and are not heavier than non-milk drinkers. See how flavored milk stacks up to other beverages, such as juice and sports drinks.
