Homemade Cadbury Cream Egg Brownies

Recipe for Homemade Cadbury Cream Egg Filling stuffed into brownies for a delicious, indulgent treat that is sure to wow the family this Easter!

Monday was our first day of Spring Break and we got one of the biggest snowfalls of the year. We truly woke up to a winter wonderland. I protested by making a very Easter-y dessert of Homemade Cadbury Cream Egg Brownies and eating the whole pan while I watched the snow come down. Uhmmmm you need these in your life.

I know I told you last year about how life-changing Homemade Cadbury Cream Egg Filling can be with these Cadbury Cream Cookie Cups. Did you listen? Have you made this cream yet? What are you waiting for- a white Easter?!

While we’re still speaking of the white stuff I just have to say that as much as I dislike snow in almost-April I am happy that my boys got to make our traditional snowman with a popsicle nose. Isn’t it the best? Of course he has chocolate discs for his face and buttons too. Would you expect anything less for such a sweet snowman?

I hope your Spring is off to a sweet start- snow or not! Now please go make yourself Cadbury Cream. Trust me.

UPDATE:

A reader and friend made these in a most epic way. You can read her (hilarious!) story below. Thank you, Maralee!

Cadbury Cream Brownies Nailed It

“Ummmm, so I get up extra early this morning to make your brownie recipe and then your Cadbury cream recipe. I manage to to get it all ready (plus dress four kids for Easter, get breakfast, cut my husband’s hair, take a shower, etc. etc. etc.) and it looks beautiful. Then it sits for an hour at a slight angle in the back of our van during church. And it turns into a total Pinterest fail before it ever makes it to my parents’ place for lunch. What’s a girl to do? Add a bunch of Peeps and turn it into a gory chicken battlefield, obviously.”

That snowman is perfect! And would you totally cringe over me having never had a real cadbury egg? I’ve only had the caramel… I think. :)

I love the popsicle nose and chocolate buttons on the snowman. We used oreo cookies and modeling chocolate on our snowman this week after coming up empty handed while searching for something to use from the great outdoors. When all else fails, look in the kitchen!

So innovative, Katrina! At first glance, I thought you had baked into your brownies some Cadbury Eggs! Truly looks like perfect Cadbury Eggs…an ideal, festive, kid-friendly brownie frosting for Easter! xo P.S. Got tons of snow here, too. Love your snowman’s nose!

We also got dumped on Monday. For spring break. But these look soooo good. Cadbury cream eggs are a very big weakness of mine. I even hide them from the kids. After stealing them from their Easter baskets.

Katrina – I’m sad that Easter is over so there won’t be any more of these Easter sweets. But you definitely saved the best for last – I swoon over cadbury cream eggs!

This is one of the first years where we didn’t have a pile of snow on the ground for Easter! I was so happy! I so love the snowman with a popsicle nose though! That is so awesome!

Oh my, these are so fun! We’ve got lots of cream eggs left over from Easter so this would be a great way to use a few of them. The kids will think this is brilliant!
