Nutella Fudgesicles

Nutellla Fudgesicles @KatrinasKitchen

My son is going to Kindergarten in the fall. And when I say in the fall in my head I’m thinking that is such a long way off still. Fall is the time for jackets and pumpkins, jeans and closed-toed shoes, and cozy sweaters and cider. I’m pretty sure it’s about eleventy billion degrees out right now where I live so I don’t have to think about sending my firstborn on the big scary monster truck school bus.

But I happened to look at the calendar this week and realized that summer is halfway over already! Surely this is a mistake- somebody with sticky fingers has been changing the pages on the calendar again, right? No such luck.

These simple fudgesicles are an easy way to forget about all of the things that you haven’t crossed off of your This-is-Going-To-Be-the-Best-Summer-Ever Bucket List. Do you have one of those lists? *sigh* Also it will help your children forget about the fact that you haven’t gotten out the snow cone maker that Grandma bought them for Christmas. Well, maybe they wont forget that because they’ve been asking

every

single

day

since December 26th.

Oh…and I sort of melted these while trying to pry them out of my Popsicle mold. Yours will be pretty. I make my family eat ugly food. They don’t mind.

Nutella Fudgesicles Recipe

PrintPrint SaveSave

Yield: 6 fudgesicles

Prep Time: 8 hours,overnight

Total Time: 8 hours, overnight

2-ingredient Nutella fudgesicles

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 3/4 cup Heavy cream

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender or mini food processor and pulse until well-blended.
  2. Pour into Popsicle molds and freeze through (overnight is best).

Notes:

  • I made these with 2% milk as well. But the pictures posted are with heavy cream (that I needed to use up). Feel free to swap out the cream for lowfat milk. Just start with ½ cup milk. Add more if necessary.
  • This made 8 fudgesicles in my particular popsicle mold.

If I ever have enough Nutella left over from attacks with a spoon, these will be made and devoured. They look amazing!

Don't hate me. I still haven't tried Nutella though I did sort of eye it the other day at the store while contemplating the new Jiff stuff too. I bet these taste amazing. And I'm equally as annoyed that summer seems to be flying by for the same reasons – haven't done crap and school is creeping closer.

I love the creamy texture! Exactly what one would expect. Bravo for creating a bucket list. We do that every summer to ensure the days don't pass thoughtlessly like sand through our fingers. I have two tots and we all lived through the departure to Kindergarten. The first day is not for the faint of heart I'll assure you. To watch the teeny weenies marching off full of pride about being big kids tugs at the heartsrings definitely. Knowing you you will be involved and quickly a favorite class mom and volunteer and it will become the next beautiful chapter in your family life!

My daughter just started summer play school and when I try to prepare her snacks for the day, I can't help but whine at how time flies really so fast. She'll start preschool in a couple of months and I know I have to make sure I spend some more bonding moments in the kitchen with her, otherwise, i may not be able to give up on the fact that she will be a little girl no more very soon…sigh! So on to this lovely recipe fudgesicle recipe that you have. Both mom and daughter love nutella so this is pure bliss. =) Thanks!

I've had a thing for fudgesicles lately and so I know these would go down pretty smoothly :) Also? In my experience "ugly food" tasts best! (and there's nothing ugly about these treats!)
